alienware have became a brand, not top of the line anymore. u get more bang for your buck if u build it yourself..

You could reduce the render distance to the smallest amount in your tekkit settings for when you visit the mall.

So, to be clear, Thowee, any lag at the mall is likely the result of a client side issue. Is that correct?

Whether or not this is the case, is there anything that could be done on the server side, or any changes that could be made to the building itself, that would help to alleviate lag for all players that visit the mall? Would the removal of lit lamps help?

FPS lag is always client side, so if you're ever having trouble moving - the server can't help you! We are open to suggestions to help improve the design to help client side lag - but the nature of a mall is a tricky one to make lag free!

It seems to me that the lag issue with the malls is not that there's too many shops, but that they're too close together. Having only a few chunks bear the load of say 8 stores at a time can be deadly for smaller computers. :dead:

Perhaps we can redesign the mall so its more spread out rather than vertical? This way other stores will not need to be rendered when not close to them and reducing lag for both client and server.

the design is made the way it is to all shops will have a chance to be wisited.. if u need to walk long, u wont walk..

im doing fine at the mall with 1 FPS XD but yes its laggy for me but idc, im not there so much as i have been :p

Second problem is that we cannot simply split up the mall again.

We can, eventually, but it was a big project to do it like this in the first place. So be patient, we are aware of the problem and will have a solution at some point.
